THE ERRORLESS ULURU

Australia’s best kept secrets continually surprise us. There’s always a lot to explore and more to discover from the Land Down Under. The urbane structures in the uber popular Melbourn. The iconic Opera house in Sydney. The immaculate beaches of Bondi and Whitsunday Islands. All of those shopping locations and national parks, of surfing sites and rainforests- Who would even get tired of these major attractions, that appeal millions of tourists from around the world, right? Yet there’s always something immaculate, somewhat refreshing, when the images of the Australian outback are depicted. Most especially when the world-famous, beautifully sculptured, crimson-coloured monoliths found in the Northern Region are described. It’s not only due to the beautiful fact of how well Mother Nature placed this natural wonder on the Australian grounds, but these landmarks also captivate us in a deeper way due to historical inclinations.

Uluru/Ayers Rock

Serving as the focal point of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, you could go on for hours catching a glimpse of the fiery Uluru. This prominent Australian jewel transition its colours from orange to red, to blue then purple, amid the vast Australian outback. The cultural significance of these immense rocks makes this UNESCO World Heritage Site even more special. The Anganu people who traditionally inhabited the area treat Uluru with ardent sacredness. They do not only conserve the area and safeguard it from the negative effects of tourism, but they passionately preserve and revere its inviolability. It’s uplifting to know that the next generations will get to have their chance to see the glorious beauty of this rock formation. The Aboriginal tour guides also provide excursions around the place which also serve as an educational journey where visitors hear the tales of the area, learn traditional bush foods and to explore the natural world of plants and animals. The most amazing part of this trip happens during the golden hour, while the tourists are comfortably seated for a sumptuous gourmet dinner. It is here where the transformation of colours unfolds right before their eyes.
